Be Comfortable & Engaging!
One of the key dating tips when going out to meet men is to be comfortable. Most women go out meeting men, dressed to the 9's in shoes that kill them after 5 minutes, pants they can’t sit down in and a bra that makes it unable to breathe deeply. Think about this, ladies. You go out in this KILLER outfit you bought hat you may look great in but it is as uncomfortable as hell - so then, all night you are picking at your clothes, pulling here, hiking up here, twisting, fidgeting, and wishing to God that you had on your loafers.
Know what? Men SEE that. Men see that you are uncomfortable, and being the oafs that they are - think you are uncomfortable about yourself, not your clothes. So immediately, they see you as having low self esteem - and no worth to them.
Don’t worry about looking like a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model when you are meeting men- chances are - you don’t know anyone who DOES look like that. So relax, look good, well groomed, fitted for where you are, but please - BE COMFORTABLE. Use your own feeling of comfort as your “measuring stick”.
Once great piece of advice I have learned, and not just dating advice, but advice for life in general, is that when you feel good about yourself, others will intuitively pick up on your positive, confident vibe… as this is a VERY attractive and subtle “force”.
And here's another killer dating tip - when you're out to meet men– whether on a date, at a party, a single's mixer, etc. – connect with people…. And not just men… but EVERYONE. Make fun comments about anything to anyone… and practice engaging with the environment. Did you know you can even flirt with women? It is sexy as hell to men. :)
Begin conversations and make comments in whatever way comes naturally to you. Maybe you just say, “Hey, how are ya?” or comment on the music, or the décor, or what someone is wearing (as long as it is a positive comment!). There's no wrong or right way for you to do it. In actuality, it has less to do with the CONTENT of what you're saying… and more to do with your BEING who you are and showing people that you are comfortable, confident and not worried about "competition".
